Update on the SWEP activation – due to extreme heat (23 June 2026)

Access to the United Reform Church on Arundel Road in Littlehampton (the front entrance to the Turning Tides Hub) has now been secured. Rough sleepers will be able to visit for shade and a cold drink at the following times:

Today -  until 4pm

Tomorrow - 11am to 4pm

25 June - 11am to 4pm

In addition:

Turning Tides Hub, Littlehampton, will be extending their opening hours on Friday from 9am to 4pm, supported by our outreach team

Stonepillow, Glenlogie House, Clarence Road, Bognor Regis will be extending their opening hours each day, allowing access for clients until 4pm
Cold and soft drinks will be available at these locations.

Our outreach team will still visit known rough sleepers to offer water, sunscreen, and advice on how to stay safe in the heat and where they can access shade and support.

We will also be providing local hubs with additional supplies of water and sunscreen.
