Wildfire risk - red level
A red wildfire risk warning has been issued in our district for tomorrow and Thursday, meaning there is an exceptionally high risk of fires starting and spreading rapidly.
Please help protect our open spaces:
- skip the barbecue, fire pit and any other open flame wherever you are, whether that's on the beach, in a park, in the countryside, at home or on a campsite. It only takes a single spark to start a fire.
BBQs are not permitted on any of our beaches, and with conditions as dry as they are, we all need to play our part in reducing the risk of fires. A little common sense goes a long way, and prevention is always better than cure.

- report any signs of fire immediately by calling 999 - tell the fire service the location, size, and any relevant information including the address, and if you are able What3Words location - https://what3words.com/
With dry conditions continuing, even a small spark could lead to a serious wildfire, as we have seen recently in this country.
