Taxi and private hire vehicles - garage tests

Each of the below garages can conduct the vehicle compliance test (garage test) for both hackney carriages and private hire vehicles which we have licensed.

You can take vehicles which require an MOT to any Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency-registered MOT test station.

As part of the contract, the appointed garages are required to offer a test within seven days, including Saturday mornings. Payment for the test must be made to the garage.

The licensing authority cannot request vehicles to be tested by garages outside their area; however, Chichester District Council have agreed a service level agreement which is the same as the criteria for the appointed garages. If you wish to use these facilities, you should contact:
