Arun District Council Chairman invites you to reflect

Tuesday 23 March is National Day of Reflection and to mark this important date, the Chairman of Arun District Council invites you to join her in a ‘virtual’ time of reflection.
The National Day of Reflection initiative - proposed and developed by Marie Curie Cancer Care – has the backing of the Prime Minister. Citizens across the UK are encouraged to spend a moment in silence at 12 midday on 23 March and, later that day, to light up their doorsteps with a candle at 8pm. This will mark the anniversary of the UK’s first lockdown, and when those who lost their lives in the pandemic can be remembered.
To further mark this day, Cllr Amanda Worne, Chairman of Arun District Council invites members of the public to join her via Zoom for a time of reflection. Cllr Worne says “I would really love to hear from anyone who would like to be part of this reflection and wants to share their experiences. The idea is to spend time sharing experiences from the past year and remembering those we have lost and thanking those who have offered support. Please get in touch with me via email. It would be lovely to hear from you.”
The event begins at 2pm on 23 March and will feature guest speakers, Revd, Tom Robson, Father Mark Williams, Nigel Lynn and Cllr Dr Walsh and music by Cllr Inna Irskine.
