Arun District Council’s Wellbeing Team is keen to promote awareness of the risks of falls in older people and how to build confidence and prevent them.

Councillor Paul Wotherspoon, Arun District Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Services, said: “Falls are unpleasant for anyone but older people can suffer serious injuries because of falling.

“These innovative courses will give participants all the guidance they need to prevent a potential fall from happening as well as helping to boost confidence.

“By attending you could help prevent yourself or a loved one from being hurt from a fall.”

A Tai Chi class, known to boost confidence and improve balance, will also be provided as part of the overall course.
