Chairman's message

Chairman's message Firstly, to you, the Residents of the Arun District, I applaud you and offer a HUGE thank you for being noted as one of the areas in the Country that have adhered to the Government Rules, and been a tremendous help to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Well done!! We must keep it up.
Secondly, we must ALL give our thanks to all our front line workers, those in the emergency services professions and all the other support services we rely so heavily to keep the country going, and of course most of all, our amazing NHS.
Some of you are asking what Councillors are doing during the lockdown. Well, we like yourselves, are staying home, and working from home. We have virtual meetings and are doing our best to solve any important issues that arise. We too must abide by the Government rules.
I would like to add that we are always at the other end of the telephone or email, and only too happy to hear from you if you have a problem. I know for some of you being in lockdown is much harder than for others, but it will not last forever, especially if we stick to the guidelines to stay at home to protect the NHS and save lives and by sticking strictly to social distancing guidance.

God Bless each and every one of you at this very trying time. Take care and keep safe.

Cllr. Jeanette Warr, Chairman of Arun District Council
