Community Hub support for the vulnerable The West Sussex Community hub remains available to support vulnerable Arun District residents and with new Covid-19 Government restrictions in place, this key support mechanism is vital.

The Community Hub, was set up in March 2020 to provide practical support and assistance to those affected by COVID-19. Since then the hub has provided essential supplies as well as information and guidance to individuals and families.

To date the Community Hub has received in the region of 55,000 inbound calls and online support request forms, made nearly 40,000 outbound calls and delivered more than 3,000 urgent food parcels across the West Sussex, including Arun.

With more than 34, 000 Clinically Extremely Vulnerable residents across West Sussex, the Hub are ready to do the same again for those who need it the most, throughout the next month

Clinically Extremely Vulnerable individuals, or their friends and family are encouraged to contact the Community Hub or use the new online registration service to:

  • Request priority access to supermarket delivery slots (if you have already got priority supermarket deliveries, you’ll keep them).
  • Tell the council if they need support in order to follow this guidance that cannot be provided by friends, family or other support networks.
  • Update details, for example, your address.

The Community Hub will be able to complete registration by phone and we’d encourage people to get in touch directly if they an urgent need or have any questions.
