Did you know? Arun District Council supports Community Transport Groups
The council provide funding Community Transport Sussex across the district to review and implement local infrastructure.
One of their responsibilities is hosting six-monthly community transport forums, which our officer’s attend. These forums are an opportunity to discuss good practice and how all the different partners operate. These forums enable an open discussion to improve services and have been hosted across the district.
Due to the closure of Six Villages Sports Centre in May this year, the community transport network was able to put forward a proposal to West Sussex County Council for the new 97-flex service which serves the Barnham area to have an additional stop and collection point at Arun Leisure Centre in Felpham. The proposal was successful, allowing our residents to continue to access leisure centres within our district. The cost of this service is £2 per journey, booked through the Book-a-Bus App.
