Have your say on Angmering Sports Hub Project – Palmer Road

Public consultation will begin on Friday 12 July on the Angmering Sports Hub proposals

Exciting proposals to transform Palmer Road recreation ground and sports pavilion in Angmering have now been unveiled – and we want to know what you think.

The designs show how the site could look when the new sports hub is built, replacing the current sports and social club.

Further enhancements are set to include a 3G pitch, grass pitches, artificial cricket wicket, new access and a car park, including EV charging points.

Arun District Council is launching a public consultation to get residents’ views on the scheme.

Councillor Martin Lury, Leader of Arun District Council and Chair of the Policy and Finance Committee said: “We are delighted to be able to share the plans for the new sports hub and to be moving forward with this project. We want to ensure that the new facilities work as well as possible for people in the district, which is why we are launching this consultation.

“We welcome all feedback as it will help us to shape the plans before we take the next steps.”

The consultation will run from 9am on Friday 12 July to 9am on Friday 2 August 2024 and can be viewed here: www.arun.gov.uk/angmering-sports-hub

Staffed exhibitions are planned for:

  • Thursday 18 July – 2pm to 6pm – Sports and Social Club, Palmer Road recreation ground, Decoy Drive, Angmering, BN16 4DN
  • Thursday 25 July – 3.30pm to 7.30pm - The Kings Suite, Angmering Village Hall, Station Road, Angmering BN16 4HL

Consultants, Mace Consult Ltd, have been appointed to support the council in delivering the project.
