With local elections in Arun taking place on Thursday 6 May 2021 there are a few reminders of what to expect.

Electors will be voting for the WSCC, Police and Crime Commissioner a district vote if you live in Brookfield or Pevensey ward, or a Town Council vote if you live in the Pevensey ward of Bognor Town or Beach, River and Wickbourne wards of Littlehampton Town. There is also a neighbourhood plan referendum taking place in the parish of Walberton.

It is important to check your poll card to make sure you know where your polling station is. It may not be your usual location, so please make sure that you do this well before election day so, you are prepared.

The COVID-19 pandemic has meant many changes and adjustments have been needed to so that we do our best to ensure the safety of voters and election staff. We are using polling stations where the COVID-secure guidelines can be met.

There will be clear signs with regard to entry and exit routes, hand sanitiser will be available, and voters must wear face coverings inside the poll station (unless a valid exemption is in place) and to respect each other’s space and observe social distancing. We are also asking voters to bring their own pencils.

We are asking residents to be patient and to follow any instructions provided, as we will be working hard to ensure that the process runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible on the day,

Any enquiries regarding the election should be sent to elections@arun.gov.uk
