Masquerade Revels raise money for Chairman’s Charities

masquerade Arun District Council Chairman, Cllr Mrs Jacky Pendleton invited guests to dress up in style and don Masquerade masks to attend a fundraising event at Butlin’s Bognor Regis on Saturday 24 March.

The evening was a great success and guests raised more than £1000 for Cllr Mrs Pendleton’s chosen charities, Home Start Arun and ChallengeU. Proceeds of the evening will be added to funds already raised during Jacky’s year as Chairman and will be presented to the charities in May.

The evening was well attended with guests including Mayor of Littlehampton Cllr Billy Blanchard-Cooper, Mayor of Bognor Regis, Cllr Phil Woodall, Arun District Councillors and Chief Executive Nigel Lynn along with other welcome supporters.

A welcome drink greeted the guests followed by a buffet and dancing as well as fundraising games and raffles to focus the evening on the job in hand – to raise valuable funds for the worthy Charites supported by the Chairman during her civic year.

The team at Butlin’s provided an excellent service and their hard work and generous contributions to the evening were much appreciated. Raffle prizes were donated by them as well as by Parham House, Rolls Royce, Bailiffs Court Hotel, Arundel Castle Harbour Park, Fanny Adams of Arundel and many other generous donators.

Cllr Mrs Pendleton said “I want to say a huge thank you to all my guests for attending on Saturday and for their generosity and support. Many others were unable to attend but made donations and provided raffle prizes and I am so grateful for their contributions. This has all gone to raising money that will go to supporting charities who work with young people in the Arun District, making a difference to their lives.
