Poll cards issued for Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner Election

 

The Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner election takes place on Thursday 5 May 2016 and poll cards for residents eligible to vote will be dropping on doormats from this week.

The poll cards inform electors across the county where their polling station is and when they can vote on the day, from 7am until 10pm. For electors who have already applied for a postal vote, then their pack will be issued around 22 April 2016.  

The electoral area for Sussex includes all 13 local authorities in East and West Sussex, including Brighton and Hove.

If you are not yet registered to vote or wish to apply to vote by post or proxy [when someone votes on your behalf], the deadlines for this election are:
•    New applications to register to vote – Monday 18 April 2016
•    New applications to vote by post or to cancel or amend an existing postal vote or proxy appointment – 5pm on Tuesday 19 April 2016
•    New applications to vote by proxy – 5pm on Tuesday 26 April 2016
•    Applications for an emergency proxy vote – 5pm on Thursday 5 May 2016

Postal vote packs for applications received after 7 April 2016 will be issued around 27 April 2016. Find out more about registering to vote
