The local District and Town/Parish elections are to be held on 2 May 2019, less than three months away. To make sure that you receive your poll card to enable you to have your say in this important election, make sure you are registered to vote.
All you need to do is visit the Arun District Council Website at www.arun.gov.uk/registration where you can either register on line following the links found on that page to register online, or to request a registration form. To be able to vote in this election you must make sure that your registration application is received by Arun District Council’s Electoral Registration Officer, Nigel Lynn by Friday 12 April 2019 at the latest.
Nigel Lynn said “It is so important to use your vote and we are encouraging those that are eligible to vote to register now. This is really important if you have recently, or are about to turn 18, or if you haven’t voted for some time. This is your chance to make your voice heard and influence the way local government works in your community.”
Voters can choose to place their vote either at a polling station, or by a postal or proxy vote. You can still apply to vote by post or to change your existing postal or proxy voting arrangement as long as your application is received by 5pm on Monday 15 April 2019. You can find out more about how to vote on the Arun District Council Website at www.arun.gov.uk/registration.
