Run for fun with Arun Wellbeing!

Some people want to run but just don’t know where to start. Arun District Council’s Wellbeing Team’s ‘learn to run’ course may be just for you!
The free eight week course is for adults of all ages and is based on the NHS Couch to 5K model.
Councillor Paul Wotherspoon, Arun District Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Services, said: “Running can be a really rewarding activity and can help improve health, fitness and help with weight loss.
“There are so many beautiful places in the district to go for a gentle jog or a more strenuous run.
“Why not try Mewsbrook Park, Hotham Park or Marine Park Gardens? These parks were recently awarded the Green Flag for being some of the finest parks in the country.
“There is nothing more exhilarating than running by the sea at one of the District’s stunning beaches or take in the historic splendour that Arundel has to offer.”
Each session builds incremental running times and distances and there is a qualified instructor on hand who will plan safe community running routes and help improve running techniques.
There are courses available at Bognor Regis on Monday evenings from Monday, 26 September and Littlehampton on Thursday evenings from Thursday, 22 September.
