Tea and technology - come along to our first Digital Tea Party

Get top tips for getting online, using your tablet and make the most of your smart phone at a ‘Digital Tea Party’ in Littlehampton.

Organised by West Sussex County Council and Arun District Council, the event takes place at the Library, in Maltravers Road, on Thursday 6 October from 2pm to 4pm.

The session will help you get the most from your tablet or smart phone, and find out some top tips. Whether you just want to explore the World Wide Web further or you’re new to technology, there is something here for you.

Along with Barclay’s Digital Eagles and O2, council staff will be on hand to give advice and guidance on accessing local services online, staying safe, and how to video call friends and family for free. Plus lots of practical tips for using Google, email and social media.

Bob Lanzer, West Sussex County Council Cabinet Member for Corporate Relations, said: “We live in a world where digital access is part of our everyday life to enable us to keep in contact with friends, contact companies or even order our shopping.

“We want to make it as convenient as possible for people to contact the County Council when they want to and we are developing lots of ways to help residents to do this online. We recognise that people may need help and support to get onto the internet, hence setting up the Digital Tea Party to help residents to access services online, as well as staying safe and offering top tips and advice.”

Spaces are limited so must be booked in advance. Please call 07808 884353, visit Littlehampton Library or book online.
