Happy World Environment Day! Today is a great day to reflect and think about the environment, and the actions we can do to protect it. These can be small changes like remembering to recycle, reducing single use plastics and even rewilding some of your garden space.

Here at Arun we are working hard to reduce our impact on the environment. Our Draft Ten-year Tree planting strategy is underway with aims to ensure that the right trees are planted in the right space; this will help strength, safeguard and improve our woodland habitats. Follow Arun Parks and Greenspaces on Facebook for updates and news. We have also recently commissioned a Carbon Audit to look at our emissions. From here we will be able to set up a strategy and action plan to ensure that the Council is working to achieve its carbon neutral target by 2030.
