Major regeneration to town centre almost complete

 

The next phase of regeneration work in Bognor Regis is now underway.

Arun District Council secured £1.65million of funding from the Coastal Communities Fund to create a new and attractive pedestrian route from the railway station at Station Square, through the town centre via the recently refurbished London Road precinct and High Street.....

Council set to start housing company

 

Arun District Council’s Cabinet has agreed in principle for the Council to establish its own wholly owned housing company.

On Monday, 17 October the Council’s Cabinet approved a supplementary estimate of up to £130,000 to cover the costs of setting up the Shadow Board and the company which includes legal, financial and necessary due diligence checks.....

Protect your vehicle from crime

Police crime figures show that since 2015, there has been a 31% increase in theft from a vehicle and a 16% increase in theft of a vehicle in Arun.

The two key themes are overnight thefts mainly from vehicles which have been left insecure or daytime thefts from vehicles at isolated rural car parks.

The Safer Arun Partnership, Sussex Police and Neighbourhood Watch are working together to raise awareness of some of the key things that can be done to reduce the risk of becoming a victim of this type of crime.
