Postal proxy votes

If you are an appointed proxy that is unable to attend the polling station to vote on behalf of someone, you can apply to vote for them by post. This is called a postal proxy vote. You will need to apply even if you already vote by post yourself.

Once appointed as proxy, you will receive a letter confirming your appointment with a postal proxy form attached.

The deadline for postal proxy vote applications is 5pm, 11 working days before an election.

Ballot papers will then be sent to you as the proxy 7 to 10 days before the day of the election for you to cast the proxy vote by post.

If you have not received the postal proxy form and you wish to vote this way please phone 01903 737616.
