Cut your energy costs this week

Arun District Council is taking part in Big Energy Saving Week (26-30 October) by helping our customers identify ways of saving money on their energy costs.

It is estimated that 11 million families in the UK could save £200 or more each year simply by switching supplier.

Changing supplier might seem a daunting prospect but it is easier than you might think.

Councillor Paul Wotherspoon, Cabinet Member for Community Services at Arun District Council, said: “Energy costs for many families represent a significant proportion of monthly outgoings so we’re keen to help residents save money and claim any help they are entitled to.

“Arun District Council and Arun and Chichester Citizen’s Advice Bureau are working together to support the aims of the Big Energy Saving Week, by providing advice and support to help Arun residents stay warm at home this winter and save money on their heating and electric bills.”

Pop up events took place on Monday, 26 October in Bognor Regis town centre and Wednesday, 28 October at Yapton Village Hall. There is also a pop event which is taking place from 10am to 1pm on Monday, 2 November in East Preston Parish Council in Sea Road, East Preston.

Home Energy Visitors will be on hand to provide free advice to residents, including help with switching supplier.
