Levelling Up Fund Littlehampton and Bognor Regis
In June 2020 we submitted a successful bid to the government’s Levelling Up fund to enable us to embark on extensive improvement projects in Bognor Regis and Littlehampton.
The funding is being spent on two key projects: Littlehampton Seafront and the Alexandra Theatre in Bognor Regis.
Littlehampton
On Littlehampton Seafront we are delivering extensive new public realm and facilities to enhance the experience for both residents and visitors to the town. Once finished, the area is expected to enhance the visitor experience and be a place where people meet and spend time.
Latest news
The project has received planning consent and a construction contractor has been appointed to deliver the project. Final detail designs are being completed prior to work commencing on site. For more information:

Bognor Regis
In Bognor Regis the Alexandra Theatre is receiving a full makeover that will let audiences enjoy an improved auditorium experience and an improved pre-performance dining experience.
Performance groups will find that the 3 previous studios have expanded to 5. The studios will offer enhanced facilities including climate control and improved lighting. The largest studio will be able seat an audience of 100 for smaller performances.
The lobby area of the theatre is being expanded with an enhanced café providing all day food and beverages and serving pre-show refreshments.
Latest news
The project has received planning consent and we are appointing a construction contractor in early February. Extensive survey and test works are currently underway prior to demolition and construction work starting in the spring. For more information:
