Help to pay your Council Tax
Find out what help is available if you are struggling to pay your Council Tax.
Paying your Council Tax is as important as paying your rent or mortgage, fuel bills and child maintenance. We may take legal action if you do not pay your Council Tax so please do not ignore any reminders we send. If you ignore a reminder you will be sent a court summons and will have to pay additional costs.
You may be able to reduce your monthly payments by paying your Council Tax over 12 months rather than 10.
You may be entitled to a discount or exemption depending on your circumstances. See our discounts and exemptions pages for more information.
